This month, PTA will provide options for parents to team up with other parents and teachers to make a difference in their child's school us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15/2023 - 10/15/2023). Tonight, you'll learn from our students, parents, faculty, and staff as they share their fondness for some extraordinary people that continue to inspire progress and power for all. Our theme this year builds on work from previous years - HISPANIC PROGRESS IS AMERICAN PROGRESS. Many of the Hispanic community's values, including grit, resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit, are echoed throughout the culture within our school community, our city, and our nation.
. We aim to do the following:
-advocate for students and families
-update parents and families about the school
-plan and run activities for parents and families
Our PTA can support our school in a number of ways, including:
-hosting parent workshops
-organizing activities for families—both academic and social
-raising funds
-running volunteer events
All of the following are automatically members of their school’s PA/PTA:
-Parents
-Step-parents
-Legally appointed guardians
-Foster parents
-Persons in parental relation
