Welcome Back - September 5, 2024 First Day of School All students should report to the schoolyard at 8:00AM tomorrow so we can begin our first day of school. You can find your schedule on NYCSA. If you cannot access your account, staff will be available to tell you what class you have in the schoolyard. New Parents/Guardians are welcome to wait in the schoolyard with their children. Dismissal is at 2:40PM.
6th Grade Orientation for the 2024-2025 School is August 29th. Please read the attached letters regarding 6th Grade Orientation.
8th Grade Families Attending Graduation Students will meet in the LeFrak Concert Hall located in the Aaron Copland School of Music. The LeFrak gate on Reeves Avenue will be open. Parents and guardians and guests can line up a the Colden center. Parking: Enter at Gate 3 at 153rd Street and Reeves Avenue, driving straight onto campus, and making a right at the first stop (Fitzgerald Gym). Follow the “Event Parking” signs to the lower level of the parking garage. We recommend that all allow extra time. Please see the map below.
Summer School Parent Meeting on June 18, 2024 @6:30PM Summer school for I.S. 238 will be held at I.S 192 which is located at 109-89 204 STREET, Hollis, NY 11412. 8th Graduates - Cap and Gown Distribution Students that have paid their senior dues, and are being promoted, will receive their Cap, Gown, Tassle, Key Chain, T-shirt, Drawstring Bag, and 2 Tickets for graduation tomorrow. Students were given an appointment on a pink paper during 8th period today.

Discussion will focus on how parents can say “No” to their children while avoiding confrontation. Parents will be given the opportunity to describe specific incidents, (anonymously via index card), and ask for suggestions
