District 29 Evening Teen Center @I.S. 238

The District 29 Evening Teen Center offers a variety of activities for our students. The program is every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. Students will can participate in Basketball, Volleyball, Arts & Crafts, Chess, Homework Help and much more. Students will also receive a snack. Students must submit an application that is signed by their parent or guardian to attend. Students can get an application from their physical education teacher or you can download it here and send your child to school with it. Please click on the links below for more information.

The safety of everyone who enters our school buildings is always our highest priority and responsibility. Every threat to a school community is taken extremely seriously and we work closely with the NYPD to investigate threats made to any school community. If your school is named in a specific threat, please call 911
immediately and 1-888-NYC-SAFE. Additional supports will be deployed to the school as needed.

CIS - A Proud Partner with I.S. 238

Counseling In Schools is proud to have been partnered with the IS 238 community for over five years. The CIS staff provides the following: individual and group counseling services, classroom social emotional learning (SEL) activities, supports in school-wide events such as community schools initiatives, parent workshops and teacher professional development trainings. The CIS team is here to be as collaborative and supportive as possible to the entire SBA community!
